Was Lucy a man?

Lucy, Australopithecus afarensis, is always considered to be our ancient ancestral great, great grandmother. But in the last decade discussions have raised the question if that is indeed the case. Is Lucy female or, considering that the only Australopithecus afarensis pelvis found is Lucy's, rather male? Scientist aren't sure. I made this complete two page article for a Dutch popular science magazine. All included.
