I know how to interpreted scientific papers and know how to put them in context. I follow several scientific fields closely and even more from a distance. If you give me an assignment you don’t have to guide me through your research. And I know which questions to ask.
All the artstuff
I’ve been working in scientific visualization professionally since 2004, but long before that I knew how to draw. Since 2006 I’ve been working almost solely in 3d. The reason for that is that, although at first it is more work than just starting to draw, in the end it gives me and my client a lot more flexibility. Because of the complexity of most of the assignments I get, request for changes in the visualization occur on a regular base due to new insights the visualizations also give. Working in 3d I can adjust the work without having to start all over again. Another advantage is that I can adjust the look and feel on the fly if needed.
If there is one thing my clients will say about me is that I am customer oriented. I know your time is precious and my work isn’t your specialty, so I make it my work to show you the possibilities within a given budget. I think along and I know what works and what doesn’t.
